I would like to thank you for arranging such a magical holiday to Botswana on Safari and the few days arranged in Johannesburg.
It was a welcome break to have everything arranged and I actually managed to leave the laptop, phone and my brain in Spain not needing any of them while I was away. This was the holiday of a lifetime. On arrival at Jo'burg airport I was warmly met by the team to be transferred to the most wonderful hotel. My daughter and I took a tour of Johannesburg to see where Nelson Mandela lived and spent the evening enjoying the hotels entertainment. We had fun winning money in the Casino and were pleasantly surprised at the high value found in Africa.
The following day we were promptly and cheerfully met and taken to the airport for our flight to Botswana. On arrival in Maun we then had a very good connection to the lodge. After a beautiful flight in the small aircraft, a jeep was waiting in the shade to collect us and take us for welcome, afternoon refreshments at the lodge. Our accommodation in the tents was excellent. Most camps had mosquito nets, which reassured our city minds that bugs would not devour us in the night. If there had been a lion and elephant net that would have been great too, as we were roared and trumpeted at throughout the first night.
Every day was a well worked out routine ensuring we had excellent meals, game drives and canoe in the delta. A welcome boat trips in the middle of the day to see the hippos and river life was one of the best outings. It was so exciting to see the animals in their natural habitat. We tried our hand at fishing in the delta, hunted for hippos and finally found loads. The staff were great, friendly, cheerful and happy to sit and talk. Our drivers found all of the big 4 and many other animals. We saw two kills and hunts because of their expertise. The eclipse took place while we were on a game drive, which added to the beauty of the scenery and animals.
This was definitely the holiday of a lifetime and will remain in my dreams forever. My daughter Chloe was so happy to be there and loved every minute. This whole safari was well thought out, with care taken on the details as well as the big picture. I would be more than satisfied to recommend this company, yourself and the lovely people/lodges that we stayed at to anyone.
